Sensorial.jpg
Archetype: Hunter/Sentinel
The best concept to describe the focus of this state is Alertness.

Physical: Sensation

Focus on the perception of tangible senses and space; attention and response to surroundings and actuality.

Rational: Instinction

Focus on instincts and intuition, and not on rationality; insights not resulting from rational analysis.

Emotional: Dispassion

Focus on objectivity and away from affectivity; reactions not dictated by the emotional state of external factors.

It is the state of awareness and agility. It represents a psyche that is rationally and emotionally relaxed, but physically flexible. We are in this state when alert to engage in activities and aware of our environment detecting any possible event, place, threat or treat. We do not focus on abstract ideas, but pure physical alertness. It makes us adaptable and apt to start fresh or look for new paths.

By definition, this is the state of sensation, instinction and dispassion. Its main characteristic is the attention to physical sensations, while avoiding rational and emotional stress. This defines our ability to experience our surroundings in full capacity without interference from rational or emotional judgments.

People who have a strong tendency to this state are not prone to emotional drama, and have low patience for explanatory details, deliberation and abstract analysis. Their attention is on tangible reality, actuality, the task at hand, and the possible actions at any given moment. For them, being swift to perceive and respond is more pressing than being moralistic or deliberate. They may observe how others over-complicate things; while they have a prodigal clarity, straightforwardness and contented nature, and are the least likely people to confront existential turmoil. They enjoy a change of scenario, diet or exercise. Their vigilant nature can expose them to many ideologies and emotional experiences; but, their interaction may be sporadic or influenced by the moment and circumstances. They are appreciative of tastes, but focus on their own preferences.

People that are strongly sensorial are not often open to develop emotional connections, specially if not based on their clear interests and desires. They focus on the here and now, maintaining emotional and rational freedom, and trying not to stress about drama or regulations. They are not necessarily looking for physical control or competition, rather avid interaction and exposure. They are easygoing, and overall uncomplicated about things. They are clear about their wants and desires, and generally relaxed but alert. They are technical and systematic by instinct. They can be more focused on self satisfaction than empathy.

Tendencies towards introversion:

Instinction cultivates arbitrarity and rebelliousness; prompting self-confidence

Dispassion cultivates aloofness and disinterest; prompting self-absorption.
