C3 vs. C7
These types are pretty much two behavioral poles. C3 is afraid of risk and opportunity; they prefer stability and competence over potential and alliances, which are not good grounds for financial security. C7 is more akin to a gambler or a salesman; they are sly and opportunistic. The cognitive nucleus is also very different, although they share the common aspect of depletion and financial security. The fixation of E7 is on indulgence; C7 indulges in what can provide them with more and more pleasure and resources. C3 is much more conscientious, even workaholic, and concerned with stable resources rather than more of them.
The “crazy idea” behind C3 can be put as “if I am competent and secure, I will be recognized and appreciated,” whereas for E7, who is not a vain character but an indulgent one, it culminates in “if I make alliances and utilize opportunities, I can provide for myself.” The aspect of rebellion is also quite important. C3 is aligned with structures, more rational than perceiving, and aligned with external expectations of what it means to be “productive” and “useful.” C7 does not care for any of that; they don’t seek a reputation and can easily rebel against expectations because they chase pleasure.
